Robert Pattinson hoping to write, direct and star in London play

British actor Robert Pattinson has set his sights on the London stage by writing a play he plans to direct and star in.

The Twilight star reveals he began penning the show years ago and although he is keeping specific details about the play under wraps, he admits he has high hopes of conquering the theater world.

He tells MTV.com, "I think maybe in the next year, I'd like to direct it. Probably in London, but I'm not sure yet."

Pattinson also suggests he decided to write his own production after struggling to find a suitable stage project to take on.

He adds, "I'm really, really starting to want to (act on the stage) again, but I find it really difficult to find the right thing."
