Robert Pattinson is puzzled as to why he has so many fans - because he is a "smelly, boring loser".

The Twilight hunk has openly admitted his personal hygiene is disgusting, revealing he rarely washes his clothes when he's on the road promoting the vampire movie franchise, and the 23 year old can't understand why his fanbase hasn't been put off him by the revelations.

He says, "The ones who are fans of just me - they're the scary ones, the weirdos. From what people can pick up from what I'm about, from my public image, I'm a dirty, smelly, boring loser.

"Anyone who is a fan of that, I don't really want to hang around with them."
