Rita Ora: 'Calvin Harris romance became weird after collaboration'
Singer Rita Ora is convinced her relationship with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris went downhill after they released their 2014 collaboration I Will Never Let You Down.
The R.I.P. hitmaker began dating the Scottish DJ in May, 2013, but the pair parted ways in June last year (14).
Ora has now opened up about their split, telling Britain's Marie
Claire magazine that the relationship took a bad turn after they
released the joint track in March (14).
She says, "There was a reason why I split up with him. And there
was a reason why I'm at this point in my life where I feel like I
have so much musical freedom, and I don't have to explain myself to
anybody... It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that
point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong.
"I thought he had my back and that he'd never steer me wrong. But
then I Will Never Let You Down came out, and everything started to
go a bit weird. I don't know if it was because business was mixed
with personal or what."
Ora is now dating Ricky Hil, son of fashion designer Tommy
Hilfiger, while Harris is in a relationship with pop star Taylor
Swift.
