Rihanna threatened with legal action over copied image

Rihanna has been hit with a cease and desist letter by bosses of a jewellery company for allegedly copying their image and reposting it on Instagram.com as one of her own.

The Stay hitmaker shared a patriotic snap to US troops on her Instagram account on Veteran's Day (11Nov14), and bosses at Coronet Diamonds believe she took the image from their own marketing campaign.

Rihanna is accused of slightly altering it using photo-editing software to remove their logo and place herself in the picture.

According to TMZ.com, the singer was slapped with a cease and desist letter from company bosses, who have threatened her with legal action if she does not apologise on social media and make it clear who created the image.
