Rihanna's Canadian fans were forced to wait 90 minutes for the star to take to the stage at a concert on Monday night (25Mar13) after her production trucks were stopped by border officials en route from the U.S.

Vehicles containing stage equipment and props for the Umbrella hitmaker's concert were held by immigration authorities as they traveled from Minnesota to Winnipeg for her show at the city's MTS Center.

Rihanna took to Twitter.com to warn fans the hold-up could delay the entire gig, writing, "They held my trucks at the border!!! This is not a good look for Winnipeg! My stage is in those trucks, disassembled! This means, the entire production could potentially start at a later time."

The star arrived at the venue in the late afternoon, but couldn't prepare for her show until the production trucks were given the all-clear by border officials.

Fans in Winnipeg had to wait an extra 90 minutes for the star to finally take to the stage, but gave her a rousing welcome as she burst into her opening song, Phresh Out the Runway.
