Drake sent fans into a frenzy at his OVO Fest in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night (31Jul16) by introducing Rihanna to the stage for a surprise performance.

The rapper was billed to headline the final two nights of his annual four-day event, and he didn't disappoint as he played the first big set on Sunday at the city's Air Canada Centre.

Drake has joined Rihanna on a number of dates on her Anti World Tour, and she returned the favour over the weekend as she flew in from France for his hometown gig.

The stars, who have long been rumoured to be on/off lovers, delighted fans by putting on a steamy show for their recent collaborations Work and Too Good, while Rihanna, who was dressed in cut-off denim shorts, a black crop top, knee high boots and a long coat, also played her solo hits Needed Me and B**ch Better Have My Money.

Drake made his appreciation known as he thanked Rihanna for making the special trip across the Atlantic, saying, "For being here tonight and for anything and everything else, you are way too good to me."

The pop superstar squeezed in the appearance between her gig in Paris on Saturday night and her next show in Sweden on Tuesday (02Aug16).

Meanwhile, Drake will return to the Air Canada Centre stage again on Monday night (01Aug16) to close out the 2016 festival, which has also featured sets by Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, soca star Machel Montano, and the hometown hero's tourmate Future.
