Rapper Doe B shot dead aged 22
T.I.'s rap protege Doe B has been shot dead at the age of 22.
The aspiring hip-hop star, real name Glenn Thomas, was fatally wounded in a shoot-out at the Centennial Bar and Grill in his native Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday (28Dec13), according to reports.
He was among several people wounded during the incident, including
a 21-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thomas died after he was admitted to a local hospital.
A Twitter.com update from his management reads: "On behalf of doe
b's management i (sic) would like to thank all of his fans and say
rest in peace."
Thomas was signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records and released a
mixtape, called Baby Jesus, over the summer (13).
After hearing the news, T.I. took to Twitter to pass on his
condolences to Thomas' family, writing, "RIP to my lil brother Doe
B. We gon miss u my n**ga. U'll never be forgotten & U WILL NOT DIE
IN VAIN. We Love U champ. Always (sic)."
