Radiohead sneaked underage Hanson members into boozy party

The members of Radiohead helped the underage Hanson brothers sneak into a booze-filled party when they were teenagers.

Zac, Isaac and Taylor Hanson were desperate to get past bouncers and into an exclusive Sundance Film Festival party in Utah at the height of their 1990s fame, and turned to Thom Yorke and his bandmates for help.

"When I was 18 we were up at Sundance Film Festival and we had multiple friends of filmmakers up there, and they were doing a special listening party," Taylor tells the Bizarre Life podcast.

"We were basically supposed to come to this after-party and we couldn’t get in because we were under 21, and we were like, 'We’re on the list'.

"So we had to scale the building, came through the window and spent the whole night with the Radiohead guys just covering for us because we weren’t supposed to be back there."

Taylor also explained that hiding from security meant they couldn't use the bathroom at the venue and had to relieve themselves outside.

"We had to get out of the window and pee on the rooftop because there was no way to get to the bathroom if we had to go through security," he adds. "So we spent the evening with Radiohead, peeing on rooftops!"

The group is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their hit song Mmmbop.
