Child star Quvenzhane Wallis has been given a major career boost after she was named as an ambassador for the fashion house where her Oscars gown was made.

The Beasts of the Southern Wild actress, 10, will model for Armani Junior, Giorgio Armani's range for children and teenagers.

She first collaborated with the brand when its designers created a custom dress for her appearance at the Academy Awards in 2012, when she made history as the youngest ever Best Actress nominee.

In one campaign picture, Wallis can be seen wearing a glossy trouser suit and high-collared blouse with a small dog perched on her shoulder.

The youngster says, "I'm so happy to be chosen by Mr. Armani to be his ambassador for Armani Junior. I felt the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. Me? Wow! I was honoured to wear his custom gown to the Oscars. It made me feel like a princess... My friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes."
