Producer sues Drake over alleged beating
Hip-hop producer Detail has filed a lawsuit against rapper Drake over allegations he had his bodyguard beat him up.
Detail, real name Noel Fisher, filed documents against the Hotline Bling star, claiming Drake set him up for a physical encounter with the rapper's bodyguard.
In the papers obtained by TMZ.com, Fisher states Drake hired him in
2014 to work as his executive producer. However, Fisher ultimately
declined the job, since he was unwillingly to exclusively create
hits for Drake and no one else.
Fisher claims that a little while later, in June, 2014, Drake
invited him to his Calabasas, California estate for what the
hitmaker thought was another chance to work with the Canadian
star.
But Fisher alleges he was greeted by Drake's bodyguard called
Chubbs, who punched him in the face and ultimately broke his
jaw.
Fisher says in the documents that Chubbs yelled, "I will beat all
your a**es, including your b**ches. I don't give a f**k. I will hit
you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake's a
punk?"
Fisher claims Drake set him up for the beating, and is requesting
an unspecified amount in damages.
Fisher, who made an appearance on Drake's 2015 track 305 to My
City, is the producer behind hits from Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and
Beyonce on her single Drunk in Love.
