Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge are to host a special Christening ceremony at their country home next month (Jul15) for their baby daughter.

The British royals welcomed their second child, Princess Charlotte, at a hospital in London last month (Jun15), and they subsequently quit the capital to take an extended break at their Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.

It has now emerged that the royals will not return to London for the little girl's baptism, and will instead host the ceremony at a chapel on the estate on 5 July (15).

A series of tweets from Kensington Palace read, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce the christening of Princess Charlotte will take place on Sunday 5th July... Princess Charlotte will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby at St Mary Magdalene Church in #Sandringham."

The couple's son, Prince George, was Christened at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace in London. The tot celebrates his second birthday two weeks after his sister's Christening on 22 July (15).
