Primus send fans on hunt for lifetime tickets

Rockers Primus are offering fans lifetime passes to their gigs if they find a golden ticket inside the vinyl version of their Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory cover album.

The band's latest record, Primus and the Chocolate Factory With the Fungi Ensemble, was released on Tuesday (21Oct14), and taking inspiration from the chocolate factory owner's fictional contest, the group is giving fans the chance to win free concert tickets for life hidden inside five chocolate-colored vinyl records.

In a video posted on YouTube.com, Primus announced the contest through footage that features shots similar to the 1971 film's opening credits. As the records are formed and printed, the band's cover of Golden Ticket plays in the background.

Primus and the Chocolate Factory With the Fungi Ensemble is the first LP since 1995 to feature the band's classic line-up, which includes Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, Tim Alexander.
