Six youths were arrested in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Monday (07Nov16) after rioting broke out at an event featuring rapper Desiigner.

The Panda hitmaker was booked to attend a meet-and-greet with Boston Celtics basketball star Jaylen Brown at the Champs Sports store at the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall, but when fans showed up in droves and began getting rowdy shopping center officials had to call in police to help with crowd control.

Tensions continued to rise and the event was called off before the stars appeared, but as cops began to clear the area angry fans protested and some began hurling missiles at the officers.

Four males and two females were subsequently taken into custody for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and trespassing charges, reports The Associated Press.

Desiigner has yet to comment on the canceled appearance, but Jaylen took to Twitter to apologize to fans.

He wrote, "Sorry I was not able to make it to @champssports. The police had to shut down the mall before I arrived. I'll try to reschedule it soon."
