Singer/songwriter Phillip Phillips is set to walk down the aisle after proposing to his longtime girlfriend over the holidays.
The 2011 champion of American Idol popped the question to Hannah Blackwell over the festive period.
Phillips made the announcement on Twitter.com on Friday (26Dec14),
writing, "My best Christmas surprise is happening. We're engaged
yall! @HannahBlackwell!"
Blackwell posted a photo on Instagram.com showing off her ring,
with the caption, "I've been dreaming of this for over 20 years.
I've been dreaming of this guy for just that long. Overwhelmed with
happiness."
The pair met while volunteering at a women and children's shelter
in 2009.
