Penelope Cruz's model sister welcomes baby girl

Penelope Cruz's model sister Monica is celebrating after becoming a first-time mom.

The Volver star, who is pregnant with her second child with husband Javier Bardem, was reportedly by her sister's side when she welcomed a baby girl at the Ruber International Clinic on Tuesday (14May13), according to Spain's Hola magazine.

The pair's mother, Encarna, and brother, Eduardo Cruz, also stopped by the hospital in Madrid, Spain to show their support.

Monica, 36, announced her decision to become a single mother in January (13) after revealing she had turned to an anonymous sperm donor to get pregnant after fearing it would be "too late for motherhood" by the time she found her perfect partner.
