Paul Walker's The Fast and The Furious race car heading to auction block
Fans of the Fast & Furious film franchise have been given the chance to purchase Paul Walker's bright orange 1993 Toyota Supra from the original 2001 movie.
The customised racing car was one of a few built specifically for the shoot and was driven by Walker in the climatic final scene of The Fast and The Furious, when his character, Brian O'Connor, went head-to-head with Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto, and jumped across railway tracks as Diesel's Dodge Charger crashed into a truck.
The speedy piece of movie memorabilia will go up for sale at Mecum
Auctions in Indianapolis, Indiana on 12 May (15) and it is expected
to fetch around $200,000 , reports Yahoo! Autos.
News of the sale emerges shortly after the latest installment in
the film franchise, Furious 7, raced past the $1 billion mark at
the global box office in just 17 days.
Walker had been in the middle of shooting Furious 7 when he was
killed in a car crash in November, 2013.
