Paris Hilton: 'Sparks flew with Chris Zylka when we met seven years ago'

Paris Hilton's blossoming romance with actor Chris Zylka has been years in the making after first flirting with one another in 2010.

The loved-up couple has been flaunting its relationship in public and on social media since February (17), after their long-time friendship turned romantic.

However, Paris admits they could have found happiness with one another years earlier had they taken their mutual attraction further following their first meeting in Los Angeles.

"Chris and I met seven years ago, during an Oscar party being held at the Chateau Marmont," Paris tells Galore magazine. "As soon as he walked through the door, we looked at one another; we're both shy so it took a while, but by the end of the night we couldn't stop laughing and flirting."

The pair stayed in touch but didn't take the next step in their relationship until the past year, during which they enjoyed an intimate first date.

"He came over to my house," she shares. "We stayed up all night talking and getting to know each other. When we had our first kiss, I felt that electric feeling and I knew there was something special about him."

Now the party-loving socialite admits she is more than happy to stay at home with her man than be seen at the hottest clubs.

"My favorite thing to do is to be at home with him," Paris smiles. "He is my best friend and we always have the most amazing time together. For work, I have to be out and be social all the time. So in my private time, I would much rather be at home in bed watching TV with my boyfriend and puppies than out at a club."

Paris has made no secret of her desire to settle down with Chris, previously insisting The Leftovers actor is 'The One'.

"(We're) soulmates, for sure, 100 per cent," Paris gushed to Entertainment Tonight in May (17). "(Being soulmates is) just being best friends and finally finding someone that I love and trust and know that I want to spend the rest of my life with. It's the best feeling in the world."
