Paolo Nutini blames touring for love split
Scottish singer Paolo Nutini blames his intensive touring schedule for the breakdown of his long-term relationship.
The star split from Teri Brogan in 2010 after eight years together, and he now admits they broke up because he was touring extensively to promote his second album Sunny Side Up and Brogan wanted to stay in the U.K. to work on her own career.
Nutini tells Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, "It felt like there
was a certain line that was crossed where what we were doing was
obligation time. There was a period of that time where the
situation my partner was in meant she could come out and be with
us... She had the time, but she was a very intelligent and smart
woman, a driven woman, the way women like that should be.
"She was determined to establish herself in her own career and
stand on her own two feet and certainly didn't want to depend on
something as fragile and fickle as a music career."
