Pamela Anderson determined to tackle NYC Marathon again in 2014
Pamela Anderson is already making plans to tackle the New York Marathon again next year (14), despite the fact her first big race on Sunday (03Nov13) left her in agony.
The former Baywatch beauty hit the pavement and took part in the a 26.2-mile (42.16-kilometre) challenge to raise money for charity, but admits she crossed the finish line in excruciating pain.
Returning to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (07Nov13) with
her medal, the model and actress confessed the last five miles of
the marathon was like giving birth.
She told the host, who had previously doubted her chances of
completing the marathon, "It was like giving birth and then being
told to run as you're giving birth. It was so much pain. My hips! I
don't know if women are meant to run, especially after having
kids."
But, despite the pain, the mother of two, who completed the race in
five hours and 41 minutes, is determined to run again in 2014, when
she'll be joined by her oldest son, Brandon.
