Orlando Bloom: 'Busy careers caused marriage split'

Actor Orlando Bloom has blamed busy schedules for driving a wedge between himself and his estranged wife Miranda Kerr, confessing it became too "challenging" to keep their marriage alive.

The stars stunned fans last month (Oct13) when they confirmed reports they had separated after three years as man and wife, and Bloom went on to insist that he and the Australian model would always remain "in each other's lives" for their young son Flynn.

Now the Lord of the Rings hunk, who spent much of last year (12) filming The Hobbit sequel The Desolation of Smaug in New Zealand and is now starring in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway, has opened up further about the sad split, admitting their hectic lifestyles simply became too much to bear.

He says, "You know, when you have two people who are incredibly busy and who are both very visible in the world, I think it can be challenging to keep that, that schedule and that kind of life in the same track, you know?

"It's very challenging... I love Miranda and she loves me. We both adore and love our son. We both recognize and realize that we're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives, raising our son."
