One Direction to perform at EastEnders pub for charity telethon

One Direction will present part of the BBC's annual Children in Need TV telethon from the pub in popular British soap Eastenders.

The boy band will host a 35-minute segment of the charity event from the Queen Vic on the TV drama's set next week (15Nov13). They'll also perform Best Song Ever from the bar.

Singer Harry Styles says, "We all grew up watching Children in Need as kids, so to be in a position where we can collaborate with the charity and help raise funds for this amazing cause is truly special for us."

The band's appearance will be one of many musical highlights this year - Scottish band Wet Wet Wet will also perform their version of The Troggs' Love is All Around, which topped the U.K. charts for 15 weeks in 1994.
