One Direction dismiss hiatus reports

One Direction have assured fans they are set to stick around for the foreseeable future after a report suggested the pop stars are planning to take an extended break next year (16).

The British/Irish band is currently touring the world as well as working on a new album, and a report emerged this week (beg01Jun15) suggesting they would be taking a long hiatus to recuperate after the record's release.

However, a spokesperson for the What Makes You Beautiful stars has now brushed off the rumour, insisting it is merely "speculation".

A statement reads, "This is all pure speculation and not based on any facts. The band are excited about their brand new fifth album and their upcoming tour."
