One Direction battle technical faults on live TV

One Direction battled technical difficulties as they performed on live TV in New York City on Tuesday morning (26Nov13).

The boyband brought New York's Central Park to a standstill when they performed to a packed crowd for breakfast show Good Morning America, but the first portion of their concert was marred by faulty equipment.

The pop heartthrobs opened with a rendition of Best Song Ever, but Harry Styles and Zayn Malik struggled to make themselves heard as technical problems left their microphones useless.

The faults were quickly resolved and the group went on to perform new single Story Of My Life, as well as fan favourites What Makes You Beautiful and Kiss You before announcing details of their 2014 North American tour.

Before the concert, news anchor Robin Roberts announced the band as One Edition, but there were no hard feelings from the group as they playfully mocked her mistake by calling themselves One Edition as well.
