One Direction and Demi Lovato to host Christmas Day radio shows

One Direction and Demi Lovato are among a group of pop stars set to become radio presenters for an hour on Christmas Day (25Dec15).

The stars, along with Little Mix, The Vamps and Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams, will front their own hour-long programmes called the Superstar Playlist with... on BBC Radio 1.

They have curated a list full of their favourite tracks and Christmas songs to get listeners in the festive mood.

One Direction stars Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne say, "The best present this Christmas will be coming round to (radio DJ) Alice Levine's and sharing the day with the Radio 1 listeners," and The Vamps add, "We're so excited to give the BBC Radio 1 DJs a run for their money by taking over the decks on Christmas Day playing our favourite choooons (sic) and chatting about reeeally (sic) important things like snow, turkey vs beef debate and presents... The playlist is mega!"
