Nicole Scherzinger backs U.K. music campaign

Nicole Scherzinger has thrown her support behind a campaign celebrating the best of U.K. music.

The Don't Hold Your Breath hitmaker has joined British singers Jessie J, Florence Welch and ex-Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm in backing the Music Is Great initiative.

Scherzinger admits she's championing the cause because audiences in the U.K. were so receptive at the start of her career.

She says, "The U.K. audience were the first to really embrace me and the Pussycat Dolls.

"The greatest thing about Great Britain is the crowds - they are so honest and open."

The Music Is Great campaign was launched to acknowledge the contributions British artists have made to music.
