Nicki Minaj apologises for Wireless Festival delay

Rapper Nicki Minaj apologised to the crowd at Wireless Festival in London after she took to the stage two hours late on Sunday (05Jul15).

The Starships hitmaker was due to perform before DJ David Guetta, but she completely missed her set as she suffered travel complications after flying into Britain from the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Her car reportedly got stuck in traffic during her journey from Luton Airport in England and she arrived at the event two hours late, after Guetta had already taken to the stage.

However, the DJ agreed to accommodate Minaj, who he has worked with on a number of collaborations, and cut his set short so she could perform for 30 minutes.

Minaj apologised to the crowd, and added, "Our plane couldn't get out because of the weather but I want to tell you how much I f**king love y'all. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you guys for showing up from day one."

A number of festivalgoers have since taken to social media to demand a refund due to the missed set.
