Nick Jonas honored those affected by the Orlando shooting as he accepted a prize at the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards.

The Jealous singer won the iHeartRadio International Artist of the Year at the Canadian music ceremony on Sunday night (19Jun16), and he took time from his moment of celebration to let those affected by the Orlando shooting know that their tragedy has not been forgotten.

He dedicated the prize to the 49 people who were killed in the massacre in gay nightclub Pulse in Florida on 12 June (16) during his acceptance speech.

"It's been a tough couple of weeks - a lot of hate and violence in the world - but it's moments like this where we can all come together and celebrate the good times and be full of joy and happiness," he said. "It's a beautiful thing so thank you for this... I dedicate this to all the families and victims of the shootings recently. We love you and we have not forgotten."

The former Jonas Brother also thanked his Under You video co-star, Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell, in his speech, and performed the single Close on the show.

Nick later took to Twitter to celebrate his win, and the chart position of his latest album Last Year Was Complicated, which debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 at number two.
