Nick Cannon addresses rumors of romance with TLC singer Chilli

Nick Cannon has refused to confirm whether or not he is dating TLC star Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas.

The 35-year-old presenter was romantically linked to the singer this week, with reports the pair have been dating "on the low" over recent weeks.

So when he was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight on Thursday (14Jul16), the claims about the romance were top of the question list.

However, Nick wouldn't be drawn on the allegations, telling the interviewer that they would have to ask Chilli about the claims.

"We got the opportunity to spend, uh, time together but I wouldn't - I would say ask her. Ask her what the situation is," he smiled coyly.

But he added: "I would be so lucky to, uh, be able to claim to be dating somebody like Chilli."

Nick has been single since splitting from wife Mariah Carey in 2014. And admitted in the interview that he doesn't think of himself as desirable to the opposite sex because of his romantic history.

"I'm fresh in this game when it comes to being single. I like to say I'm damaged goods... What woman would want me?" Nick laughed.

However, if father-of-two Nick did get back into the dating game, Chilli is someone he would definitely consider getting to know better.

"She's an outstanding and amazing woman," he said. "I've known her for so, so many years and, you know, we've been friends.

Nick added that Chilli, 45, is "someone I do care dearly for", and said he gets "excited when I get to see her".

Chilli, who has a son with producer Dallas Austin, previously dated R&B hunk Usher in the early 2000s.
