Niall Horan to undergo knee surgery - report

One Direction star Niall Horan is reportedly preparing to undergo knee surgery this week (beg30Dec13).

The Irish singer and his bandmates will embark on a world tour next May (14), but before he hits the road, Horan is set for surgery his knee, which he dislocated as a child and has been troubling him during the group's shows.

A source tells Britain's The Sun, "He's had physio (physiotherapy) sessions for years but the pain persists so surgery is the best solution to have him fully fit and ready for the demands of a long tour."

The publication reports that Horan will stay in an exclusive clinic for 10 days following surgery at an undisclosed centre in the States.
