Niall Horan embarrassed by fan on live radio
Niall Horan was reportedly left embarrassed during a live radio interview in Australia after a caller declared "no one cares about him".
The 23-year-old One Direction star was left red-faced when a listener phone-in on KIIS 1065’s The Kyle and Jackie O show didn't quite go to plan.
According to British newspaper Metro, show hosts Kyle Sandilands
and Jackie O asked fans of the Irish singer, who recently launched
his debut solo single, to phone in with their questions for Niall
to answer.
A Canadian student and fan was in class when she got the
opportunity to speak to Niall, and Kyle and Jackie O urged her to
announce to her class she was chatting to a One Direction
member.
"‘Tell (your fellow students) you’re on the line with Niall right
now and they will totally lose their minds, go on," they said.
The chat got awkward when the fan replied: "I'm sorry, I live in
Canada, nobody really cares about it anymore."
After a painfully silent pause, Kyle tried to salvage the situation
but only made it worse, saying: "What do you mean they won’t care?
Freaking Niall’s on the phone!"
He then added to Niall: "Oh sorry buddy… we would chop that out if
we weren’t live."
As a member of One Direction, Niall was part of one of the biggest
boybands in the world, who created Beatles type mania wherever they
went.
After splitting from Simon Cowell’s label Syco in a shock move - to
Cowell at least - in September (16), he signed a new deal with
label Capitol Records. Last week (ends02Oct16), he dropped a
surprise debut single This Town, which is predicted to hit the
number one spot in the U.K. charts on Friday (07Oct16).
