Ne-Yo makes surprise appearance at karaoke bar

Ne-Yo showed an amateur singer how to croon his track Because Of You at a karaoke bar at the weekend (12-13Aug17).

The reveler was attempting to belt out the singer's Grammy-nominated song Because of You in front of a crowd of onlookers at The Good Nite bar in North Hollywood in the early hours of Sunday morning when Ne-Yo himself, dressed casually in a grey T-shirt, jeans and black baseball cap, joined him onstage and took over the microphone to perform a pitch perfect rendition.

In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, the amateur can be seen singing and dancing along next to Ne-Yo onstage while the Closer star puts his arm around his shoulders and puts the microphone in front of him so he can finish off the track. They end the performance with a handshake and a hug.

Ne-Yo has since shared the article about his surprise appearance on Twitter.

Because of You was released in 2007 and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
