Natalia Vodianova to be honoured by Diane von Furstenberg

Natalia Vodianova will receive a special award from legendary designer Diane Von Furstenberg next month (Apr13) in honour of the Russian supermodel's charity work.

The beauty is set to be presented with the Inspiration Award at the fourth annual DVF Awards in recognition of her Naked Heart Foundation, which has funded the creation of hundreds of playgrounds and a network of family support centres in her native Russia.

Vodianova tells Style.com, "Diane is like a mother to me, so I do believe she is a little biased. With that said, she is also the one person who knows me the most, outside of the Naked Heart Foundation team, how passionate I am about my cause, and how hard I work to realise it."

The DVF Awards, set up by the fashion icon in 2010 to honour women making a difference, will take place at the United Nations headquarters in New York City on 5 April (13).
