N*E*R*D TO GO APE WITH GORILLAZ

Pharrell Williams and his N*E*R*D bandmates are joining in the Gorillaz fun - they will open for the British group's North American tour.

The 18-city Escape to Plastic Beach Tour will begin in Boston, Massachusetts on 14 September (10).

In addition to N*E*R*D, De La Soul and soul legend Bobby Womack will join the Gorillaz Plastic Beach band, which features Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of the Clash as special guests.

Williams says, "We are all super excited to be on tour with Gorillaz. N*E*R*D is all about expanding creatively and Gorillaz have been doing that for years. We are all huge fans and really admire their vision."
