Murray representing himself in court after filing appeal

Written by . Published: December 04 2011

Michael Jackson's physician Dr. Conrad Murray is appealing against his involuntary manslaughter conviction without the use of an attorney.

The disgraced doctor, who was sentenced to serve four years behind bars at the beginning of this week (29Nov11), is challenging the decision and he'll be representing himself in court.

Murray was found guilty of causing Jackson's 2009 death last month (Nov11) and his medical techniques were called into question in court by the prosecutors and a series of experts.

In a TV documentary which aired during the trial, it was clear Dr. Murray and his defense team lawyers were not on the best of terms and his two lead attorneys argued over how the case was going.

The bust-up led to chief attorney Ed Chernoff moving out of colleague J. Michael Flanagan's home, where he had been staying during the trial to keep costs down.

Murray was found guilty of administering the fatal dose of anesthetic propofol, which cost Jackson his life.
