Mumford & Sons thrill Glastonbury with star-studded set

Mumford & Sons wowed the crowd at Glastonbury on Sunday night (30Jun13) by performing a Beatles track with fellow festival stars including Vampire Weekend and The Vaccines.

The folk rockers were closing out the iconic British event by headlining the main stage on its final day, and they provided a fitting end by inviting an ensemble of other acts onstage for a rendition of With a Little Help from My Friends.

New York rockers Vampire Weekend, British stars The Vaccines, and Swedish duo First Aid Kit picked up various instruments to join in the finale.

Earlier in the set, frontman Marcus Mumford showed his relief that bassist Ted Dwayne is recovering from a recent operation to remove a blood clot from his brain, telling the crowd, "Ted's f**king alive isn't he!"

Bandmate Ben Lovett also took time to thank Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis, saying, "I think we all owe a massive thank you to Mr Michael Eavis and his family. Just for having us here and letting us be complete idiots on their farm for a couple of days."
