Model Ginta Lapina's $1 million lawsuit dismissed
Top model Ginta Lapina has lost her legal battle with agency bosses over payment for a photoshoot with fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld.
Lapina targeted bosses of her modelling agency, Women Management, in a $1 million legal action over claims they failed to pay her in full for a photoshoot in Paris, France, which designer/photographer Lagerfeld shot for a hair product campaign.
However, a judge at a court in New York City has now dismissed her
suit and ordered an arbitrator to resolve the dispute, according to
the New York Post.
A lawyer representing Women Management says, "Women Management is
extremely pleased that the judge has dismissed each and every one
of Ginta Lapina's claims, and enforced the arbitration clause in
Ms. Lapina's model management agreement."
Latvian beauty Lapina is one of the world's most sought-after
models and has appeared in campaigns for brands including Yves
Saint Laurent and DKNY.
