Supermodel Adriana Lima will continue to model for Victoria's Secret after sparking speculation she is retiring as one of the lingerie brand's top Angels.

Adriana posted a long message on her Instagram page over the weekend (09-10Dec17) regarding her new stance on posing in racy photo shoots.

"I had received a call for the possibility of filming a sexy video of me to be posted and shared in social media," the Brazilian beauty wrote in the lengthy post. "Even though I have done many of this type (sic), something had changed in me, when a friend approached me to share that she was unhappy with her body, then it made me think... that everyday in my life, I wake up thinking, How do I look...?

"And in that moment I realized that majority of woman (sic) probably wake up every morning trying to fit in a stereotype that society/social media/fashion etc imposed... I thought that's not a way of living and beyond that.... that's not physically and mentally healthy, so I decided to make that change... I will not take of (sic) my clothes anymore for a empty cause..."

Lima also stopped following many of her colleagues and Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek on social media, leading fans to question if she was following fellow Brazilian Alessandra Ambrosio and walking away from the lingerie company.

But a representative for the model, who walked her 18th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai in November (17), insists Adriana will continue to collaborate with the label and was just focused on sending a message of female empowerment.

"As Adriana mentioned in her post she received a recent offer where she was not aligned with the direction," the rep tells People. "Adriana is blessed to be able to work with all of the brands she does, including Victoria’s Secret."

She is planning to quit the Victoria's Secret runway after 20 Fashion Shows.
