Disney star Miley Cyrus has come under fire from concerned parental groups over her racy new music video, in which she can be seen writhing semi-naked on a bed.
In the new clip for Who Owns My Heart? the 17-year-old former Hannah Montana star is seen blindfolded and grinding seductively in her underwear.
But Tim Winter, president of the Parents Television Council, insists the footage sends the wrong message to Cyrus' young fans.
He tells TMZ.com, "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualised video like this one.
"It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."
It's not the first time the teen has courted controversy - she hit the headlines in May (10) after footage of her dancing provocatively in a night club surfaced on the internet.
And the singer/actress caused outrage in 2008 after posing in just a blanket for Vanity Fair magazine.
