Michelle Obama lands cameo on Parks and Recreation

First Lady Michelle Obama will make a special appearance on the season six finale of hit sitcom Parks And Recreation.

President Barack Obama's wife will guest star on the Amy Poehler-led comedy, which centers on a group of small town government workers in the Parks and Recreation Department in Indiana.

It has not been revealed how the First Lady will fit into the show, but the scene was recently filmed in Miami, Florida.

On Tuesday (25Feb14), Poehler served as a special guest at Obama's Let's Move event in Miami, adding some star power to the initiative which encourages children to live healthier lifestyles.

This isn't the first time a Washington, D.C. politician has made a cameo on the series - Vice President Joe Biden, Arizona Senator John McCain, California Senator Barbara Boxer and former Maine Senator Olympia Snowe have all appeared in past episodes.

The season finale airs on 24 April (14).
