Michelle Dockery's dress disaster at Golden Globes
British actress Michelle Dockery was forced to make an unexpected wardrobe change following the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month (Jan13) after a clumsy waiter spilled red wine down her white dress.
The Downton Abbey star was leaving the Hollywood prizegiving with her pal Julianna Marguiles to attend an afterparty when the unthinkable happened - leaving her with unsightly stains all over her gown.
She tells E! News, "I was wearing a gold and white dress and as we
were leaving we bumped into a waiter who was holding a tray of
drinks and I felt something... I was hoping it would be white wine
or something, and it was red wine, so we tried to get rid of it but
it was no use, so I just changed."
Dockery refused to run the risk of repeating the dress disaster
again at Sunday's (27Jan13) Screen Actors Guild Awards so she chose
to wear a sexy black vintage Chado Ralph Rucci outfit instead - and
didn't have to worry about changing as she celebrated winning the
Best Ensemble Cast award for a drama with her Downton co-stars.
