Melanie Brown extends Aussie TV career with DWTS hosting gig
Melanie Brown has boosted her Australian TV career after signing up to present the country's version of Dancing With The Stars.
The former Spice Girls singer moved to Los Angeles and took part in the hit reality show in 2007, coming second in the competition.
She headed Down Under last year (11) after landing a judging job on
the Aussie arm of Simon Cowell's The X Factor, and now TV bosses
have hired her to host the celebrity dancing contest.
Brown says, "Doing Dancing with the Stars in America changed me.
I've danced all my life, and, of course, with the Spice Girls, but
there was something so intoxicating about learning to dance in such
a classic, trained way. It was intense, but I loved every moment.
I'm still annoyed I didn't win!
"As any contestant on DWTS will tell you, it does change your life.
I will be bringing my experiences to the show, and will be very
protective of this year's group."
Brown hinted she's considering a move to Sydney after admitting she
had fallen in love with the Aussie way of life.
