Megan Fox decided to have her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed because she read the actress' life story and decided she was as "unreliable" and "uninsurable" as Lindsay Lohan.
The Transformers star has been undergoing laser surgery to fade a picture of Monroe which is inked on her arm, and reasoned that she wanted the tattoo removed because she didn't like being associated with the tragic actress' negativity.
Fox has now gone one step further by comparing the Some Like It Hot legend with her troubled former co-star Lohan.
She tells Esquire magazine, "I started reading about her and realised that her (Monroe's) life was incredibly difficult. It's like when you visualise something for your future. I didn't want to visualise something so negative... She wasn't powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay. She was an actress who wasn't reliable, who almost wasn't insurable... She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I'm not interested in following in those footsteps."
Lohan, who starred opposite Fox in 2004's Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, has a Monroe obsession herself - she has several of the actress' most famous quotes tattooed on her body and she even named her clothing collection 6126 after the actress' birth date.
