Tina Fey's Mean Girls musical will debut in Washington, D.C. at the end of 2017.
The comedienne has been teasing the musical version of the Lindsay Lohan movie for some time, and she chose 3 October - aka Mean Girls Day - to break news to fans.
"BREAKING OCT 3rd NEWS! The 'Mean Girls' musical is coming to
Washington, D.C. Fall of 2017!" a tweet on the verified account for
the musical read.
Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, are collaborating with
Legally Blonde lyricist Nell Benjamin on the show.
The comedienne wrote the original movie and appeared in it.
