Matt Bomer joins The Magnificent Seven cast

Actor Matt Bomer is set to saddle up to star alongside Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt in the upcoming remake of The Magnificent Seven.

Director Antoine Fuqua will reunite with his Training Day actors Washington and Hawke for the Western, a new take on the 1960 Steve McQueen classic, and now he has added Magic Mike's Bomer to the cast.

The story will revolve around a group of gunslingers hired by actress Haley Bennett's character to protect her town from a gang of robbers.

Bomer will portray Bennett's onscreen husband, who tries to stand up to the gang's ringleader, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Vincent D'Onofrio and Game of Thrones hunk Jason Momoa will also feature in the action film, which was written by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto and The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock.
