Mariah Carey is reportedly in talks to become the latest big name to decamp to Sin City for a lucrative Las Vegas residency.

The superstar singer is said to be close to signing up for a stint at the city's famous Caesars Palace resort, which has hosted big name acts including Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Celine Dion, who recently axed her own shows there to care for her husband as he battles cancer.

Carey is in talks to take over from Dion with a two-year deal worth $30 million, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The publication reports that if the deal goes through, Carey will hit the stage in Las Vegas later this year (15).
