Mariah Carey in negotiations for Glastonbury festival
Mariah Carey is in talks to make her debut as a headliner at Britain's Glastonbury Festival, according to a U.K. report.
The Hero hitmaker has emerged as an unexpected choice to join the line-up at the traditionally rock-orientated event and she is reportedly in negotiations to hit the Pyramid Stage this summer (Jun13).
A source tells the London Evening Standard newspaper, "Nothing has
been signed yet, but discussions have been opened and both parties
seem keen."
If Carey does sign up for the big gig, she will follow in the
footsteps of Beyonce, whose 2011 set made her the first female
singer ever to headline the main stage at the iconic festival since
its launch in 1971.
The Rolling Stones are also expected to be officially announced as
a Glastonbury headliner as part of their series of 50th anniversary
gigs, which began last year (12).
