Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reunite for a happy meal

Mariah Carey reunited with ex-husband Nick Cannon for a family dinner with their children ahead of Mother's Day.

Mariah and Nick split in 2014 after six years of marriage, and the Touch My Body singer has since moved on as she announced her engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer earlier this year (16).

Despite their divorce, the former couple have remained close, reuniting to take their five-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan out for special occasions.

On Thursday evening (05May16), the couple visited a restaurant for dinner ahead of Sunday's Mother's Day celebrations (08May16) after taking their children to karate class.

In a picture posted by Nick, 35, on Instagram, the family were shown smiling while Moroccan and Monroe filled in an activity sheet.

The America's Got Talent host captioned the image, "A little dinner after Karate Class!!"

Nick has been supportive of Mariah's decision to marry James, 48, as he wrote, "May god bless your future union. #GreatPeople #GreatCouple," on the photo sharing site after their engagement was announced in January (16).

The musician and the media tycoon's nuptials are reportedly set to take place later this year (16).

Editors at TMZ.com claim the couple are eyeing the Caribbean island of Barbuda as a wedding venue, where the businessman is building a $250 million resort with actor Robert De Niro. The forthcoming marriage will be both James and Mariah's third.

Unlike his ex-wife, Nick is believed to still be resolutely single, even joking on Instagram about his relationship status in a post which read, "I've been single for a while and I have to say it's going very well. Like... it's working out. I think I'm the One."
