Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon fighting over house sale
Mariah Carey is facing a legal battle with her estranged husband Nick Cannon over the sale of their marital home.
The former couple bought the mansion in Bel Air, California in 2009, a year after they married, and the property was recently sold for $9 million.
Cannon has now filed a lawsuit asking a judge to freeze earnings
from the sale of the property so the estranged couple can figure
how to divide the money.
In the legal papers, Cannon claims he was not told about the sale
of the home and did not give his permission for it to be sold.
The rapper/actor is not contesting the sale, but wants the $9
million to be frozen until he receives official paperwork showing
how much of the money he is entitled to, according to TMZ.com.
Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in December (14). They are
parents to three-year-old twins.
