Mandy Moore enlists Ryan Adams for album collaboration
Pop star Mandy Moore is collaborating on her next album with her husband Ryan Adams, who she hails as a "tremendous influence" on her songwriting.
Moore recently began working with the rocker on the follow-up to her 2009 release Amanda Leigh, and she credits him with expanding her musical horizons.
She tells CBSNews.com, "I'm probably going to work with my husband
on this album... We've been writing a little bit together. He has a
studio, so I definitely want to make my record there...
"He certainly inspires me. There's tremendous influence right now
around the house - from the music I've been introduced to, and
being very happy and in a healthy, happy relationship. I think that
still garners a lot of material to write about."
The singer also insists she has a lot more to sing about since
becoming a married woman in 2009.
She adds, "There's a lot to say and a lot that's happened to me in
the last three or so years since the last record's come out. So I
have been writing a lot and it's definitely going to be an intense,
emotional record. I'm excited about it. I'm excited to get into the
studio and start recording."
Moore hopes to release her next album at the end of the year
(12).
