Malin Akerman and Michelle Rodriguez help out at children's hospital

Actresses Malin Akerman, Michelle Rodriguez, and Annalynne Mccord paid a morale-boosting visit to sick kids at Los Angeles' Children's Hospital on Tuesday (09Dec14).

The stars attempted to cheer the children up by helping them create artwork for the upcoming 2015 Noble Award ceremony, which honours the work of humanitarians for their positive impact on the world and recognises celebrities who have made an impact on society.

Rodriguez went the extra mile and sported a SpongeBob SquarePants beanie hat and matching sweater as she chatted to the patients.

At one stage, she covered her colourful outfit with a protective hospital gown and face mask, and McCord entertained the youngsters by playing the piano.

Akerman writes on Twitter.com, "Had the opportunity to hang out with some of the bravest (and cutest!) people today @ChildrensLA hospital."

Other stars who gave a helping hand at the health unit included Teen Wolf actors Daniel Sharman and JR Bourne, and One Tree Hill star Paul Johansson.
